Law enforcement internship and volunteering opportunities provide a unique platform to develop a wide range of skills such as communication, problem-solving, leadership and teamwork.  These skills are not only crucial for a law enforcement career but are also transferable to other fields.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office offers volunteer positions to anyone wanting to serve the citizens of Douglas County in their free time.  We also offer internships for individuals currently enrolled in a criminal justice program which require a specified number of internship hours.  The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is deeply grateful and appreciative to those serving the citizens of Douglas County in a volunteer capacity.
